Last night I was walking home from work across the bridge,nwhen something huge exploded underneath.nI was blinded, deafened, several seconds,nThe concrete fell away beneath my feet,nI'm on my hands and knees.nnA fireball rose aroundnA double decker bus fell off the side.nI made it to the bank, crawled past bodies on the tarmacnAnd then I waited like a coward for the sirens to arrive.nnThis kid came out of nowhere, in a wooden dinghy.nShe can't have been much older than 13 - but she was strong:nShe climbed up on the sinking wreckage, started pulling people free,nOne by one she dragged and carried them to safety...nThen she was gone.nnWhen I got home the news was on, they didn't mention her.nIn the chaos maybe no-one even knows.nLondon Bridge has fallen down, world still turns around:nDown here there's nothing and the river flows.nn(oil on the river where the bridge fell down)n(oil on the river where the bridge fell down)n[repeats]
