I’m sitting on my front porch on this afternoon.nReflecting on my life on this day.nThere’s little in this lifetime that we can call free.nBut sitting on my swing, this is what I see.nGod’s great creation and all that He brings.nBirds singing softly, squirrels playing in the trees.nFlowers blooming in my front yard of every color shape and size.nFruit growing on the vine, food on the table that you have supplied.nSunshine and blue skies clouds floating slowly by.nRain for the farmers, flowers and green grass.nLife here on my front porch moves a bit slowly as the sun goes down.nAs I know tomorrow will bring much the same.nSo as I sit on my front porch and watch this life go by.nI think of those who have entered and have gone.nGod, you’ve given me so much and you’ve blessed my life this day.nAs I sit on my front porch swing away.nGod I thank thee daily for the places that I’ve seen.nSpring in the Mountains, snow on the ground, waves on the oceans, golden wheat swaying gently on the breeze.nBut mostly Lord I thank thee for bringing me back home.nFor sitting on my front porch life is good at home.nYou have given me friends too numerous to count.nFamily that’s seen its ups and downs, and yet here we still are together on this fine day which you have made.nSitting on my front porch swinging away. n
