Name the asses need kickin' to straighten out
this mess It's a bad time to be so I'll be taking a
leave 'cause I never was much into fighting.
Watched New Year's hit in an upstate bar
men's liquor breath that whispers Please let me
be liked... start my year off right. Noses sour cross
the faces of girls smelling desperation so they stay
unfocused and the night kinda goes on like that.
(JERSEY BLESS'D)
Lips curl as girls come clear with their disinterest
and impatience. Men's courting kisses miss
their mark, they start grasping at strings. Can't
stitch it up, can't tie it down girls float around and
away like pretty balloons you wanna grab and
pop. The word bitch makes its appearance, you
can hear mens' thoughts click to fighting, so they
take to kissing each other with their fists.
Some folks call me by my god-given name,
others say I'm a god-damn disgrace I tell you it's
a bad time to be, so I'll be taking a leave.
I resolve it to be last year twice as it has been
throughout adult life. A day-to-day daze, awkward
seconds and empty space bookending any fleeting
graceful moment. Drag eyes cross bodies I'll never
kiss or fight... a punch to the face at the end result
of wanting to be liked.
