Er war ein Porschefahrer und ein Waghals

und fuhr wie die gesengte Sau,

doch unheilschwanger dunkel war

der laue Sommerabend, der es sah,

wie er mit seinem Porsche Targa, den er schaetzte,

an einem Lindenbaum zerfetzte.

Und in das kleine Pfuetzchen Blut,

das vor dem Auto sich schnell bilden tut,

da tunkt der Tod mit seiner Knochenhand, und er schreibt:

Jedermann, deine Tage sind gezaehlt,

Jedermann, du hast viel zu lang gelebt!

Er war ein Drachenflieger von der verwegenen Art,

einer, der die Angst nicht erfunden hat.

Der flog nicht gern bei ruhiger Luft, viel lieber bei Wind,

doch eines Tages war der Wind ihm boese gesinnt.

Da ging der Flug ganz jaeh zu Ende,

auf einem Felsen schlug er flach zu Brei,

und noch beim letzten Atemzug hoert er Stimmen wie von weit:

Jedermann, deine Tage sind gezaehlt,

Jedermann, du hast viel zu lang gelebt!

Er war ein Tiefseetaucher und er glaubte nicht an Gefahr,

am liebsten war er dort, wo's am gefaehrlichsten war,

einmal im Roten Meer, wo es von Haien nur wimmelt,

da hat fuer ihn ganz leis die letzte Stunde gebimmelt.

Auf der Suche nach antiken Sachen

geriet er einem Hai in den Rachen,

und tief im Haifischmagen hoert er eine Stimme sagen:

Jedermann, deine Tage sind gezaehlt,

Jedermann, du hast viel zu lang gelebt!

Da glaubte einer, dass er wirklich todsicher klettert,

doch hat er sich beim letzten Sturz im Seile verheddert.

Man muss schon sagen, dass er wirklich ungluecklich hing,

weil eine Schlinge Seil um seinen Hals herumhing.

Da hoert er ploetzlich Glocken laeuten

und fragt sich noch, was kann das bedeuten,

als ihm die Sinne schwinden, hoert er Engelschoere singen:

Jedermann, deine Tage sind gezaehlt,

Jedermann, du hast viel zu lang gelebt!
